The Equestrian Federation of Assam, since inception has been focussed on sports development, and therefore was the first state association to introduce and actively support equestrian sport in schools. The Federation assised in the setting up of Equestrian centres in Assam Valley school, Tezpur and DPS Numaligarh. Both these schools are actively participating in equestrian sport. The federation has been holding regular camps, with the assistance of Equestrian Federation of India and under the guidance of expert resource persons.
